Happy Valentine’s Day

A Sudden Cataclysm

The day before Valentine’s Day, my husband of 29 years … without warning, provocation, or even so much as a cross word between us … coldly walked out on our marriage, our family, our friends, our God, our jobs, our history, and more … in one fell swoop. After he closed the door and walked down the sidewalk, my life would never be the same.

The Silver Lining

This all sounds like a tragedy, but through this process I was given a marvelous gift.  By being forced out of my cocoon and out into the world alone, I became re-acquainted with one of the most wonderful people in the world: ME!

Life is good again. And it can be for you too.

  1. Well, my wife of 27 years told me on Valentine’s Day, that she wanted a divorce. We are currently separated. No discussion, no anything, just done. It was sudden abandonment. We never really argued, no cheating. She’s just not happy. Says she doesn’t love me and doesn’t want to talk. The only time we did a couple of weeks later, she wouldn’t even look me in the eye. I currently have zero self esteem. I love her very much and want to do whatever I can to make things better. I’m having a hard time moving forward or getting through a day even

    • Bobby, I am so sorry for you having to go through this too. Please take care of yourself. As hard as it feels, it’s not about you. Our culture’s getting to where everyone and everything is disposable. When we’re not deemed as exciting anymore (and that definition and opinion can change by the day) then we become like disposable batteries or something like that. It sounds like she is long past the conversation stage. If she’s like my husband, there were conversations all right, but only in his/her head. I suggest you look up Diana Iannarone on YouTube. She is very good. Praying for you.
